Leonida Keys

The Leonida Keys take GTA 6 away from the towers of Vice City and into a chain of tropical islands, bridges and waterfront communities. Boats, beach bars and marine wildlife feature throughout the region's promotional images. The scenery also has a direct story connection through Jason Duval and Brian Heder.

Roads strung between islands

Long elevated roads are among the Keys' most recognizable features. PlanetGTA6's footage analysis compares them with the Florida Keys' Overseas Highway and Seven Mile Bridge, alongside stilt houses, marinas and mangrove-covered islets.

The resemblance explains the region's visual identity. It does not tell us that a particular bridge has the same length, exits or name as its Florida counterpart. Distances and the full route to the mainland still need a reliable game map.

Why the Keys matter to Jason

Jason works for local drug runners here. Brian operates a boat yard with his wife, Lori, and gives Jason a place to live in exchange for helping with shakedowns. That arrangement ties housing, work and personal obligations to the same community.

It also gives the boats and waterfront businesses a narrative setting. The region is somewhere characters make a living and owe favors, as well as a change of scenery from Vice City.

What the underwater images show

Rockstar's gallery depicts scuba divers among coral, fish, an eel and a sea turtle. Other scenes show people gathering on boats, personal watercraft nearby and everyday life around the shore.

Those images establish marine life and underwater scenery. They leave the practical questions about diving open: which equipment players use, how it is obtained and whether particular jobs or rewards are attached to it.

An island community, still being mapped

Other published views show people outside a beach bar, an iguana beside the shore and a floatplane above the bridges. The aircraft is discussed separately in our reported Dodo profile. These are useful details for recognizing the region, even while its complete island boundaries remain unknown.
