GTA 6 Cast and Voice Actors: Confirmed Information

An actor confirming involvement is not the same as Rockstar publishing a full cast list. This reference keeps participation, character credits and rumors separate.

GTA 6 Cast and Voice Actors: Confirmed Information

Stephen Root has personally confirmed that he is in GTA 6, but that is not a complete official cast announcement. GamesRadar identifies his character as Brian Heder. A separate ComicBook report attributes a small, unnamed role to Jim Santangeli. The distinction between confirmed participation and a verified character credit matters.

This reference records what each piece of evidence actually supports. It does not turn voice resemblance, social-media follows or a fan-edited database into a performer credit.

Stephen Root: a direct statement, with a separate role attribution

In the AP Entertainment interview, Root acknowledges his GTA VI involvement. That removes the need to frame his participation as a voice-identification theory. GamesRadar’s report connects him to Brian Heder; Rockstar’s public character biography does not itself supply the actor’s name.

There is no contradiction in preserving both levels. A person can confirm working on a game without the publisher having posted a character-by-character credits list. Good attribution makes that distinction visible instead of hiding it behind an overconfident table heading.

Our original report on Root’s confirmation covers the interview. The Brian Heder profile covers the fictional character’s background. This page serves a different purpose: a reference for casting evidence across the game.

Jim Santangeli: reported participation, unnamed character

ComicBook reported on June 10 that Santangeli said during a TikTok livestream that he had a small part in GTA VI. Its article identifies his earlier Red Dead Redemption 2 role as Pearson. We retain the GTA VI claim as Reported because this reference relies on the publication’s account, not an independently verified copy of the full livestream.

Do not fill the empty character column with a guess. A returning actor does not establish that an older character is returning, that the games share a storyline or that the role is important to the main plot. “Unnamed” is a useful result when that is where the evidence stops.

Who voices Jason and Lucia?

The sources reviewed here do not establish verified credits for the two leads. Rockstar’s biographies name Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos and describe their backgrounds. Those fictional details should not be repurposed as evidence for a particular actor.

An apparent vocal match can be an interesting lead, but it is not a professional credit. Neither is an actor declining to answer a question, following a studio account or having an unexplained gap in a résumé. Publishing a name as fact under those circumstances would create certainty the evidence does not support.

A voice credit is not every kind of performance credit

Games can involve voice work, performance capture, stunt work and other contributions. Unless a source specifies the work performed, avoid expanding a general statement of involvement into all of those roles. It is better to describe a person as a performer or participant than to invent the production arrangements.

The same rule applies to celebrities connected with music or promotion. A promotional image or a song association does not automatically mean a speaking role. A casting reference needs evidence about casting, not merely proximity to the game’s marketing.

What would move an entry from reported to verified?

  • An official Rockstar credit or cast announcement naming the person and role.
  • A clear, attributable statement from the performer identifying the role.
  • Reliable reporting with enough evidence to distinguish participation from a character assignment.

Until then, attribution is part of the information, not an inconvenience to remove. This page will be more useful with a short, defensible list than with dozens of names whose only support is repetition.

Quick questions

Is Stephen Root’s involvement still just a rumor?

No. His direct AP statement confirms participation. The Brian Heder identification is retained with its reporting attribution.

Is Jim Santangeli’s character known?

Not in the report used here. We do not assign him a character.

Does Rockstar’s character database double as a cast list?

No. A fictional biography and a performer credit are different records.
