Sony's GTA 6 DualSense controllers open for preorder on September 10, with the launch starting November 19, 2026. The black and white designs have the same recommended prices, so availability is the main practical difference when choosing between them.
Official recommended prices
| Market | Price for either design |
|---|---|
| United States | USD 84.99 |
| Euro pricing | EUR 84.99 |
| United Kingdom | GBP 74.99 |
| Japan | JPY 12,480, including tax |
Where and when preorders open
PlayStation Direct opens US orders at 7am PT / 10am ET. The announced time is 10am local in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Sony directs Portuguese customers to its local PlayStation hardware store.
The white controller is coming to PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. The black edition is exclusive to Direct where that service operates, with selected retailers handling other regions. Both are limited in quantity, and Sony says exact release dates and availability can vary by country.
Choosing a design
Both versions combine GTA VI branding with a finish that shifts color in the light and molded palm-tree details. The choice is primarily a matter of appearance and which retailer can supply it.
If you prefer the black version, the Direct restriction is the detail to check before preorder day. If you prefer the white one, the wider retail route gives you more places to compare delivery and availability. A recommended retail price is a reference point; the amount and delivery promise shown at checkout govern a particular order.
The controller purchase is separate from choosing a game edition. Our Standard and Ultimate comparison covers the game packages.
