VGC journalist Andy Robinson has discussed industry chatter suggesting GTA 6 might reach PC sooner than some players expect. His comments supply a possibility, not a release window.

The discussion appears in VGC's September 4 podcast about the game's effect on console sales. Xboxygen's account, published September 6, reports Robinson saying he had heard talk of a shorter wait, while stressing that he did not have a firm date.

What the comment actually changes

Robinson links his thinking partly to the cost and availability of gaming hardware. The argument is that the circumstances around this launch may differ from those surrounding Rockstar's earlier console-to-PC releases.

That is a reason to question a familiar assumption, but it does not tell us whether an announcement is close. A shorter wait could still mean months, and the comparison depends on what the listener expected in the first place.

At this check, Rockstar's announced GTA 6 platforms remain PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The podcast does not establish a PC preorder, Steam listing, system requirement or release date.

Past gaps are context, not a timetable

Players often use GTA 5's roughly 19-month gap and Red Dead Redemption 2's roughly one-year gap as reference points. Those examples explain the expectation of a delay. They cannot establish the schedule of a game with different production and commercial circumstances.

The new chatter does not make either a simultaneous release or a very long wait impossible. It simply leaves the likely interval unsettled.

What would make the picture clearer

An announcement naming PC would answer the platform question. A dated product listing or release statement would answer the timing question. Neither can be replaced by an estimate built from older games.
