Ernesto

Ernesto is the caller who warns Raymond about an approaching task force during GTA 6's An Extended Look. He is heard over speakerphone at the apartment meeting, while Jason and Lucia are waiting to collect for Boobie Ike. His warning is part of the job's collapse into a police raid.

The call to Raymond

The phone handler identifies Ernesto at about 3:22, and Raymond addresses him as Nesto. Ernesto refers to the approaching officers as friends on the task force and urges Raymond to let them take what they want. Raymond's response is immediately hostile.

Raymond later protests that he has always supported Ernesto. Their exchange establishes a personal history, but it gives only one side of that history. Ernesto is speaking into a room already under pressure; the protagonists hear the dispute without receiving an explanation of the arrangement behind it.

His connection to the raid

Police arrive while the call is still unfolding. The timing makes Ernesto's warning consequential, rather than a passing mention of trouble elsewhere. Jason and Lucia have to get out of the building with the pickup, and Raymond becomes part of their escape.

It is possible to read the call as a betrayal, especially from Raymond's reaction. The footage does not settle whether Ernesto is an informant, a criminal intermediary or someone relaying a threat. His use of familiar language about the task force is evidence of a connection, not proof of a particular job.

Voice, identity and unanswered questions

The official dialogue establishes both Ernesto and the nickname Nesto. He is never shown during this conversation, so none of the men standing in Raymond's apartment can be identified as Ernesto from this scene.

His surname, performer and location during the call remain unrevealed. The sequence also leaves his relationship with Raymond unresolved. A fuller account of the raid could explain those ties, but the released material does not yet provide one.
