The show opened on September 17. With general-public days still ahead, the distinction between watching a presentation and playing a build is the key detail for anyone planning a visit.

A theater presentation, not a new gameplay reveal

PlayStation Blog Japan describes an installation whose floor responds to the presentation's sound and imagery. Its list of four playable booth titles is separate from the GTA VI theater. That distinction is more reliable than assuming every game promoted at an exhibition is available to play.

Public dates and the limited giveaway

The official TGS event overview identifies September 17–18 as business days. Public admission runs September 19–21 at Makuhari Messe, with the wider event also using TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall.

Public opening hours are 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m. on September 19 and 20, and 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m. on September 21, in Japan time. Event admission and access to a particular booth attraction are not interchangeable guarantees; consult the organizer and PlayStation information before travelling.

Sony also lists a GTA VI and PlayStation T-shirt for theater viewers. It is limited to one per person, in size L, while supplies last. The giveaway is not a game pre-order bonus or a promise that every visitor will receive one.

What the theater does not establish about PS5 performance

A large projected image and vibrating floor describe the exhibition setup. They do not establish the retail game's frame rate, a 4K rendering mode, ray tracing settings or PS5 Pro enhancements. None of those technical conclusions follows from the theater's size.
