The US, UK and Indian PlayStation Store listings currently show different GTA 6 release timestamps. Converting them to local time makes the pattern clearer: midnight on November 19 in the UK and India, and midnight Eastern time in the United States.
These are the product-page values checked on September 8, 2026. They describe those three PS5 storefronts, not a published worldwide schedule for every platform.
The listed times, converted
| PlayStation store | Timestamp shown in UTC | Corresponding local time |
|---|---|---|
| United States | November 19, 05:00 UTC | November 19, 12am EST; November 18, 9pm PST |
| United Kingdom | November 19, 00:00 UTC | November 19, 12am GMT |
| India | November 18, 18:30 UTC | November 19, 12am IST |
India's displayed November 18 timestamp is not evidence of a different local release date. Adding India's five-and-a-half-hour offset brings it to midnight on November 19. The US West Coast likewise reaches the listed US unlock on the evening of November 18.
Why one countdown can be misleading
The three UTC values are different moments. The Indian listing is five and a half hours ahead of the UK listing and ten and a half hours ahead of the US listing.
A countdown using only one of those timestamps will therefore be wrong for a purchase attached to another checked store. The release date and a precise unlock instant are related, but they are not interchangeable pieces of information.
Use the countdown attached to your purchase
As launch approaches, check the product page and console countdown for the version you own. Store values can change, and these observations should not be extended to Xbox or an unexamined region.
The listings also describe preloading before release. Having the files downloaded does not by itself grant early access. The preparation guide covers download and setup planning.
