Dre'Quan Priest

Dre'Quan Priest runs Only Raw Records with Boobie Ike in GTA 6. Signing the rap duo Real Dimez gives him a chance to establish the label in Vice City's music business and move beyond booking performers for Boobie's club.

Music was always the goal

Dre'Quan dealt on the streets to support himself, but his ambition was a career in music. Rockstar characterizes him as someone pursuing an opportunity, with the music business taking priority over a reputation as a gangster. His work arranging acts at the Jack of Hearts connects that ambition to Boobie's nightlife operation.

He also sees the club as a place to judge a record. His published dialogue treats dancers as informal talent scouts and DJ interest as a sign that a track is connecting with listeners. Booking performers and building a label belong to the same pursuit for him.

The artists and backing behind Only Raw Records

Real Dimez members Bae-Luxe and Roxy already have an online audience and an early hit with local rapper DWNPLY. They have been friends since high school, and their new deal follows a difficult five years after that breakthrough. Dre'Quan is signing an established partnership with something to prove.

Boobie supplies the wider business connection through his club and recording studio. He describes money from the club supporting the studio, with drug income behind the operation. The resources available to Dre'Quan consequently remain tied to Boobie's other interests.

Dazed's Rockstar interview also identifies Dre'Quan as the person overseeing Boobie's music studio. The label is also the venture Boobie is most invested in. Its next successful record matters to both partners as well as to their newly signed artists.

At the studio and with Real Dimez

A studio screenshot shows Dre'Quan beside a man operating the mixing desk, with Only Raw Records branding by the equipment and both rappers behind him. Another places him between Bae-Luxe and Roxy at a party.

Roxy's official car portrait puts Dre'Quan in the passenger seat beside her. These appearances give the label relationship a presence beyond the written biography, showing him with the artists at work and away from the recording session.
